The beauty of double-doubles
in the LFB

Basket Landes regained first place in the regular season table by seeing off Arras (75-63) in the big match of round 9. Elodie Godin (in picture above) turned back the clock to her youth days in France with an excellent double-double for Montpellier against Charleville-Mézières.

Elsewhere nothing really changed: COB Calais and Lyon continue to struggle while Tango Bourges Basket keep on winning.

Elodie Godin hit 8-of-11 shots from open play to finish the match with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds while also adding 3 assists and a couple of steals to lead Montpellier to a road victory against Charleville-Mézières.

Jovana Rad had her best game statistically for the hosts with 14 points coming off the bench.

Olivia Epoupa from Toulouse is the official Miss Double of the LFB this season. She added to her collection 13 points and 11 rebounds to ease Toulouse to victory against COB Calais (62-55). Antonija Misura who has had a quiet season so far chipped in a game high 15 points for the winners.

The double-double performances of Camille Aubert (14 points and 11 assists) and Rebecca Tobin (27 points and 10 rebounds) took away the spotlight from Lizanne Murphy (22 points) as Angers rolled over USO Mondeville (98-71).

Basket Landes required a double-double performance from Danielle Page (15 points and 12 rebounds) and big contributions from Gunta Basko-Melnbard and Julie Barennes with 17 and 16 points apiece to defeat Arras (75-63). Michelle Plouffe's double-double performance was not enough this time for Arras losing their place at the top of the LFB standings.

Alicia Devaughn from Tarbes Gesperre just missed one shot from open play in helping herself to a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in Tarbes' road win against Lyon (82-50).

In the remaining two games from this round, no double-double statistics were recorded. Villeneuve d'Ascq, without the injured Géraldine Robert, walked over Nantes-Rezé (81-48). Ann Wauters and Fati Sacko led the way with 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively.

Hainaut Basket gave Tango Bourges Basket a scare before falling (53-66).

La 9e ronde en LFB avec
Arras soulevé du sommet par
Basket Landes
