Cavigal Nice are back in the LFB
Niss'Angels to host LF2 Final Four

Cavigal Nice are the 2013 LF2 regular season champions. However the events leading to their title and promotion to the LFB were overshadowed by the withdrawal of US Laveyron from the championship.

The Niss'Angels were expected to celebrate their title this weekend with their home supporters against US Laveyron.

Last weekend US Laveyron had forfeited their match and during the week officially announced that their season was over and the professional team has been disbanded as the organisation is officially bankrupt.

What this means is that all the results of Laveyron have been removed from the regular season games.

In addition the Niss'Angels' last home game of the season has been cancelled. Their home fans will now have to wait until the Final Four weekend of 11/12 May to support their team again.

In 2011 Cavigal Nice had won the LF2 Final Four in Lyon by beating Roche Vendée and Reims BF.

"Les Niss'Angels ont assuré leur première place du championnat LF2, ce qui leur garantit l'accession en Ligue Féminine de Basket-ball, la saison prochaine.

Cette première place nous donne également l'occasion d'organiser la Finale à 4 qui octroiera le second ticket pour la LFB et qui, surtout en ce qui nous concerne, désignera le Champion de France LF2.

Ce grand événement du basket-ball féminin se déroulera, les 10, 11 et 12 mai, salle Leyrit, à Nice.
