FIBA Europe youth basketball draw 2012
U20 European Championships for Women
Division A, Division B groups

All the other FIBA zones have stopped international youth basketball for the U20 age group. For the 2012 edition only 8 nations have registered to participate in Division B.

The Division A tournament will run from 16-26 August in Debrecen, Hungary. The Division B competition will be hosted by the Czech Republic in Klatovy and will be played between the 18-26 August.

It is rare for the hosts of a Division A tournament not to be participating. But this will be the case in 2012 because Hungary will be playing in the Division B competition.

In previous years the U20 Women's competition had been the first competition for women and was played in July. This time around it will be the last competition of the summer.

France will be looking to get back on the podium after a fourth place finish in 2010 and a fifth place in Novi Sad in the 2011 edition.

Like last year France have been drawn in Group C and will meet Turkey, Ukraine and Division A newcomers Portugal.

Romania who were relegated from Division A will not present a team at U20 next summer.
