Lattes Montpellier - Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomération - BLMA

Will Sheana Morsch return was the question on the lips of everybody at Montpellier at the end of last season.

The response was no. But in return Sandra Dijon-Gérardin came back after her year in Latvia and Constance Jink decided it would be nice to play in France.

This is really a new look for Montpellier.

Pauline Krawczyk © LFBThe veterans Dijon-Gérardin and Dana Boon, both 1:95 will take care of the defensive rebounds while Pauline Krawczyk (left) and Sylvie Gruszczynski will be expected to score a lot from beyond the arc.

Montpellier will be looking for a top 4 finish again and a good run in the FIBA EuroCup Women.

The LFB roster is: Sylvie Gruszczynski, Alexia Plagnard, Pauline Krawczyk, Gaëlle Skrela, Manon Vierne, Leslie Fournier, Khadijah Whittington, Constance Jinks, Dana Boonen, and Sandra Dijon-Gérardin.

Limoges - Limoges ABC en Limousin

Limoges have had a lot of changes from the team that dominated NF1 last season.

Of the five players that remain the oldest player is only 23. Elodie Chieze who had suffered a pre-season injury last year ruling her out for all the season makes her return.

Maryska Kowalik who is also studying will captain the team as she returns to the LFB after a foru-year absence.

Faeza Bouderra © Florida InternationalFaeza Bouderra (right) was the big signing of the summer. Yet she is currently injured and will miss the first two months of the season. The club has signed Ligita Kinkeviciene from Lithuania as medical cover.

Limoges are handicapped because three of their players are full-time students and cannot always train with the team that is only 4 times per week instead of 8.

This may cause problems for the club when they have to play a mid-week game far from home.

Limoges have made some interesting signings and should be competitive but are expected to struggle.

The LFB roster is: Johanna Tayeau, Anaïs Jomby, Jessie de Colo, Maryska Kowalik, Elodie Chièze, Faeza Bouderra, Awa Gueye, Kerline Verjuin, Laima Rickeviciute, Erica Davis and Ligita Kinkeviciene (8-week medical cover).

The head coach is Bertrand Parvaud.

Mondeville - Union Sportive Ouvrière Mondeville Basket - USO Mondeville

Mondeville had completed their recruitment before the summer holiday in June.

Valeriya Berezhynska © LFBThe only problem is that when the squad resumed after the summer break, Britany Miller had put on weight and was not as fit as she should have been.

The club decided not to risk her for the season and released her from her contract and signed Valeriya Berezhynska (left) as her replacement.

Mondeville's objective for the season is a top 4 finish and also a high lacing in the FIBA EuroCup Women.

The mixture of youth and experience should make them one of the most enjoyable teams to watch.

Caroline Aubert will be the leader of this team and with Lenae Williams back for season number 3, fireworks are expected in Mondeville.

The LFB roster is: Clarisse Costaz, Lenae Williams, Touty Gandega, Caroline Aubert, Yacine Séné, Aija Putnina, Aurélie Bonnan, Fanny Cavallo, Pauline Thizy, and Marion Pujos.

The head coach is Hervé Coudray.

Nantes Rezé

Last season Nantes Rezé made the basketball news headlines for signing Michele Van Gorp.

And this season the club has gone one better by hiring Laurent Buffard as head coach.

Faeza Bouderra © Florida InternationalWhile most of the players from last season remain at the club, he managed to get Kathleen MacLeod (right in green) to join the club.

MacLeod will be the only Australian in the LFB this season.

Mélanie Plust who was still under contract with UHB-SA managed to secure a release and will hook up with Camille Aubert and Doriane Tahane.

The University of California, Santa Barbara, have already had Kirsten Mann and Mia Fisher play in the LFB.

So it should not come as a surprise that Lindsay Taylor finds herself in France.

She played on the university team with Fisher and Mann.At 2:03m she is the tallest player in the LFB this season.

Leslie Ardon will captain the side this year. The club hopes toimprove from their first-year experience in the LFB and this time qualify for the end of season play-off after finishing the year before.

The comeback of Lucienne Berthieu-Poiraud did not go well and she has been released from her contract and Mame Sy-Diop will replace her after the African Championships in October.

The Buffard effect is going to set expectations high and Nantes will be expected to finish in the top half of the table.

The LFB roster is: Camille Aubert, Yuliya Andreyeva, Doriane Tahane, Maëva Dagorne, Tiffaine Mélois, Kathleen MacLeod, Mélanie Plust, Natalia Bogdanova, and Lindsay Taylor.

The head coach is Laurent Buffard.

Florence Lepron © LFBThey have brought in six new players this season, Florence Lepron (left) and and Fatimatou Sacko came from Villeneuve d'Ascq.

Both players have plenty of experience in playing EuroLeague Women.

Anne Breitreiner, a German international and a great wing player, makes her first excursion into France. She has also gained some experience in inter-continental club competitions.

Pauline Jannault who signed for Reims was a late signing and is back with her coach from her days in the CFBB. Charde Houston who played in the WNBA with Minnesota and Naura El Gargati complete the roster.

Polina Tzekova © LFBIsabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui will captain the team this season and 41-year old Polina Tzekova (right) has decided not to retire and is back for another season.

On paper they have recruited stronger than any other team in France.
