Numerous LFB team roster changes at Villeneuve d’Ascq for 2009-2010

Abdou N’Diaye, the coach at Villenuve D’Ascq (ESBVA-LM), said that the LFB team roster changes were needed because the club had to reduce its budget for the second year.

The result of this is that Ljubica Drljaca and Géraldine Robert will not be playing in France next season.

Drljaca has signed for Spanish Champions Ros Casares, Valencia for two seasons. Robert on the other hand is off to Italy to join Club Atletico Faenza.

Fatimatou Sacko, another player that has been with the club for a number of seasons, is also leaving. She will be joining Tarbes.

Florence Lepron who joined Villeneuve d’Ascq last season is also on her way to Tarbes.

Ingrid Tanqueray is also joining Villeneuve d'Ascq. She will leave USO Mondeville, a club she joined at the age of 15.

She was a member of the famous youth side that completed the cup and national league title in 2005.

Elodie Bertal is leaving Montpellier after four years for the adventure in the north.

Emilie Gomis (right) returns to the club she played for between 2003 and 2006. Gomis spent last season playing basketball with Fenerbahçe in Turkey and with Napoli in Italy.
