LFB basketball news from Basket Landes Aja Parham has arrived
Americans coming to Basket Landes does not make LFB basketball news headlines anymore. Last season Jennifer Humphrey joined the club during the second half of the season .
With the season ending injury to Amélie Pochet the club has signed Aja Parham (left) as her replacement.
Parham has already arrived in France and was in the crowd during the match against Mondeville.
She is expected to make her début this weekend.
Parham was born in Spain but hailed from San Antonia Texas.
She went to Boston College (2002-2006) and played in the ACC conference. Her team qualified for the NCAA big dance on three occasions, qualifying for the Sweet Sixteen.
She was not drafted into the WNBA and spent her first professional season (2006-2007) in Germany with Saarlouis Royals.
She played in Portugal for the last two seasons with Olivais Coimbra and participated in the EuroCup Women last season.
This summer she joined the Seattle Storm in the WNBA and played in one pre-season game. She was released before the official season started.
