Youth International Basketball - U18 Women Partnership Tournament Luxembourg



The U 18 women Partnership Tournament youth international basketball event is the third event organised by the Basketball Federation of Luxembourg (FFLB) this year. The FLBB are celebrating 75 years of existence.

Luxembourg take Bronze at European C Championship Women 2008

They have already held the U20 event for the U20 women won by Germany U20. Luxembourg also staged the European C Championship Women, an event won by Malta, with Luxembourg taking the bronze medal.

The third event in the celebration is the U18 women event that will run from Wednesday, 16th July until Sunday, 20th July 2008.

England, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Slovenia and Luxembourg will use the event as preparation for the FIBA Europe U18 European Championship Women Division B to be held in Macedonia in August.

All five teams will play each other during the five-day tournament. The matches will be played at 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00 central European time (CET ) each day.

England – Germany, Slovenia – Ireland, Luxembourg – The Netherlands

17 July
Germany – Slovenia, The Netherlands – England, Ireland – Luxembourg

18 July
England – Ireland, Germany – The Netherlands, Luxembourg – Slovenia

19 July
The Netherlands – Slovenia, Germany – Ireland, England – Luxembourg

20 July
Ireland – The Netherlands, Slovenia – England, Luxembourg - Germany

During the same period as this tournament Luxembourg will also stage the Future Cup which is a U20 men international youth basketball tournament with France, Lithuania, Russia, Spain, Turkey and Luxembourg.
