Youth International basketball issues for Arnaud Guppillotte

Arnaud Guppillotte reduced his youth international basketball roster to 13 players after their success in winning the "Trophée Jacques Dorgambide" at the end of June.

Tracy AlbicyTracy Albicy (left), Cécile Baudy, Aminata M'baye and Anaïs Manceau will not play for France during the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women Division A in Katowice, Poland this summer.

The thirteen players left are currently in training in Mulhouse, France. They will then head off for a three-day training camp in Italy. They will play a match against the Italians.

Italy are back in Division A after two seasons in Division B and will use the match against France as a test before reducing their squad.

Meanwhile the 1993 generation will begin their preparation for 2009. For the second year France, Greece, Italy and Spain will play in the friends' tournament known as the "Tournoi de l'Amitié".

Last year the tournament was held in Greece and France won. This year the tournament will be held in Temple-sur-Lot in France from 25th July until 27th July. Pierre Olivier Croizat has been appointed as head coach.

16 players have been called up to train for this competition and will report to camp on 20th July.
