U20 youth international basketball at its best



Two schools of excellence in U20 youth international basketball, France and Russia, met on day 2 of the European Championship Women Division A.

Aline Fischbach led the French scoring with 14 points and was joined in double digits by Mélanie Plust (right).

In the other game from Group D Sweden beat Belarus (72-70).

Spain maintain their strong hold in Group A with a comfortable victory against Ukraine (85-48) with Alba Torrens and Tamara Abalde each scoring 18 points.

Turkey beat Germany in an error-prone game (69-59) in the other game in the group.

In Group B Serbia led from start to finish and beat Italy (68-48) for their second win while Bulgaria defeated Montenegro (67-46) for their first victory.

In Group C Latvia beat Lithuania (85-69) while Poland made it 2 wins from from 2 games after beating the Czech Republic.

After two days of competition the four teams unbeaten are: France, Poland, Serbia and Spain. They have qualified for the qualification round.
