Katarina Manic © womensbasketball-in-france Basket Landes' third season in the LFB has seen them from the status of new kids on the block to European competition contenders.

They are currently lying in fifth place in the championship and are now two games clear of their guests Union Hainaut Basket who are alone in 10th position.

Basket Landes, playing at home, held on to beat UHB (64-60) with 15 points, 5 assists, 4 steals 9 drawn fouls from Katarina Manic (in picture).

Game recap:

Basket Landes, without their captain Marion Laborde, were unable to find any rhythm during the first five minutes and chased their guests all round the court (8-8).

Basket Landes went into the interval leading (31-24) and appeared to have the game wrapped up (40-28) with 15 minutes left to play.

However UHB fought back with Jasmon Covington leading the charge as they drew level (53-53) with three minutes to play.

The teams were still level (59-59) with 30 seconds left to play.
