Basketball news from Bourges Basket
Roster confirmed for 2010-2011


The latest basketball news from Bourges Basket is that Serbian international Maja Miljkovic and Cathy Joens will be joining the club next season.

The two-year contracts for Ana Lelas and Katarina Manic have come to its end and both players will not be back next season.

It has already been announced that Lelas will play for Lattes Montpellier next season.

Maja Miljkovic   © FIBA Europe Miljkovic (left) just turned 22 last month. She had a fantastic youth international basketball career with Serbia (Serbia Montenegro) that had started in the summer of 2004 and ended in 2008.

She was in the same U18 team with Sonja Petrovic that had won the European Championship in 2005. She had also played in the U19 World Championships in 2005 and 2007.

Miljovic who had played for the senior team at EuroBasket 2007 and again in 2009 left her home to play professional basketball in Spain with Celta Vigo in 2007.

She played in Spain for two seasons before moving to Hungary to play with MKB Euroleasing Sopron last year.

Cathy Joens returns to France after spending the last three season in Spain.

She had joined Aix-en-Provence during the 2005-2006 season and during the 2006-2007. Her partnership with K. B. Sharp enabled Aix-en-Provence to challenge for the regular season title.

Joens has also played in the WNBA with Chicago.

The rest of the LFB roster for next season is:

Anaël Lardy, Nwal-Endéné Miyem, Margaux Galliou, Styliani Kaltsidou, Jennifer Digbeu, Paoline Salagnac, Emméline Ndongue, Ilona Burgrova.
