Ligue Féminine de Basketball
Emmanuel Coeuret goes, Bruno Blier comes
Emmanuel Coeuret, remplacé par Bruno Blier

With just two wins in the Ligue Féminine de Basketball this season Aix-en-Provence are once again at the wrong end of the table.

Emmanuel Coeuret who replaced Erik Lehmann at the start of the 2009-10 season has had two difficult seasons as head coach of Aix-en-Provence with more losses than wins.

The club was expecting to challenge for a place in the top half of the table this season with the recruitment of talented international basketball players.

However after five consecutive defeats including three home games, the president of the club, Guy Boillon, had a meeting with Coeuret on Tuesday, 16 November 2011.

After the one on one the president said Coeuret and himself had agreed to end his contract and that Bruno Blier would take over the reigns immediately.

In reality the encounter between the two men was about the financial aspect of terminating Coeuret's contract and finding a common solution that would be beneficial for both parties.

He left USO Mondeville in 2007 and in 2008 took up his first LFB coaching job with Clermont-Ferrand. Due to the financial problems he left the club at the end of the season and soon after became coach of Aix-en-Provence.
