Preparations for the FIBA World Championship for Women starts in Alpes D´Huez for France


In June Pierre Vincent released his FIBA World Championship training roster.

Diandra Tchatchouang injured her ankle during the U20 European Championship and requires another three weeks of rest. So it has been decided to release her from the preparation.

Isabelle Yaoubou-Dehoui is the fourth member of the EuroBasket Women 2009 that will be absent during the World Championship in September.

She is recovering from an injury picked up at the end of last season. She has not fully recovered and hence cannot train at 100%.

Fatimtou Sacko was released from the team. No explanation has been given for her absence.

Sandrine Gruda is playing in the WNBA at the moment and will join the French team later. The last player missing from the original list is Ingrid Tanqueray.

The players will remain in camp until Friday, 20 August 2010.
