A. C. Paleo Faliro pulling out of EuroCup Women 2009-2010 Fiba Europe announced that only 40 clubs would participate in the EuroCup women this season.Greek club side A. C. Paleo Faliro have withdrawn from the competition due to financial problems. They were to play in Group J. Due to the lateness of this announcement, it is not possible for another team to replace them. This basketball news means that the other two teams from the group, Spartak Moscow Noginsk and KK Hemofarm Vrsac, qualify automatically to the sixteenth finals (play-off). The two teams will face each other as scheduled and those games will count towards the ranking for the play-off brackets.
