 CFBB French National Basketball Academy players
|
A few of the clubs in the LFB, like Bourges Basket, Mondeville, Tarbes and Montpellier tend to recruit young players nationally and are known to take players from abroad.
While the clubs have fixed dates for try-outs, they are flexible and can see players at any time that is convenient, especially for players coming from outside France.
For non-French players coming to France, as long as you are born on or after 1 January 1993, you do not count as a foreigner in the French senior league.
Unless otherwise stated the clubs are looking for players born between 1992-1995. As part of the application process, the clubs request school reports (grades), a sports CV and an application letter.
The school report is asked for because youth players at basketball academies in France are expected to go to school as part of the condition of being accepted.
Although clubs do not request for a DVD, it would be advisable for players coming from outside France to provide game footage.
We have included a list of dates and contact information from clubs from the LFB.
As soon a basketball academy informs us, we update this page.

Clubs from NF1
The basketball academy process for clubs in NF1 is identical to the clubs in the LFB with just one exception. Clubs in NF1 are not required to have an "Espoir" team.
Unless stated the clubs in NF1 will be looking for players born between 1993 - 1995.
